# Favourites

Bookmark candidates without committing to a decision

Not every candidate is ready to be shortlisted or disqualified right away. Favouriting gives you a way to mark candidates you want to revisit, without changing their status or affecting where they are in the pipeline.

It's a flexible, lightweight layer that sits across your entire hiring workflow, giving you space to pause and reflect before making a final call.

### What favouriting does

* Lets you mark candidates at any stage of the pipeline
* Does not affect stage movement or automation rules
* Available from both the candidate listing and the detailed report card
* Aggregates all favourited candidates in a dedicated view for easy review

### 1. How to favourite a candidate

Favouriting is available in two places so you can act quickly whether you're scanning through a list or reviewing a candidate in detail.

**a. From the candidate listing**

<figure><img src="https://1117388020-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGO7J9uIHFkn8y0ZeBqYC%2Fuploads%2FYT607sCM2KaNLQE7wMd9%2FScreenshot%202026-07-06%20at%2020.52.09.png?alt=media&amp;token=df1638f6-2a27-49b3-b001-14f70cdade74" alt=""><figcaption><p>Add to Favourites from Candidate Listing</p></figcaption></figure>

Click the favourite icon directly on the candidate row. You don't need to open their profile — it's accessible right from the list.

**b. From the detailed report card**

<figure><img src="https://1117388020-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGO7J9uIHFkn8y0ZeBqYC%2Fuploads%2FHQTs3k1OEgFkwaDOzGyC%2FScreenshot%202026-07-10%20at%2016.51.13.png?alt=media&amp;token=416336f5-5620-4a19-84ff-3174b2a4ad81" alt=""><figcaption><p>Add to Favourites from Report Card</p></figcaption></figure>

When you're reviewing a candidate's full evaluation, the favourite action is available at the top of the report card alongside other primary actions.

{% hint style="info" %}
To remove a candidate from your Favourites, click the favourite icon again on any candidate that's already been marked.
{% endhint %}

### 2. Viewing your favourited candidates

To view all your favourited candidates, open the **Stages** dropdown at the top of the Candidate Listing page and select **Favourites**. This filters the listing to show only candidates you've bookmarked. You can see each candidate's status, grades, and key profile details at a glance.

<figure><img src="https://1117388020-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGO7J9uIHFkn8y0ZeBqYC%2Fuploads%2FmrJkkLs3VcHu2B4CTyu6%2FFavourites.gif?alt=media&amp;token=090be9fe-fe8c-49da-83a2-8790aa8852f6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Candidates marked as Favourites</p></figcaption></figure>

### 3. Actions available on favourited candidates

From the Favourites view, you can still take action on candidates based on where they are in the pipeline. Available actions include:

* **Trigger AI Prescreening** — send the prescreening questionnaire to the candidate
* **Trigger AI Interview** — send the interview invite to the candidate
* **Move to Shortlist** — mark the candidate as shortlisted
* **Move to Disqualify** — remove the candidate from the pipeline

{% hint style="info" %}
Favouriting a candidate does not move them out of their current pipeline stage. They continue to be tracked in their original stage — the Favourites view is simply an additional layer for your own reference.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.senseloaf.ai/hiring-pipeline/favourites.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
