# SIA for Zoom

Schedule interviews and pull back recordings, transcripts, and summaries — all from SIA chat

An interview is an hour of useful signal about a candidate, but without a way to capture it, that signal lives in one interviewer's head or in a recording nobody goes back to watch. Connecting Zoom lets SIA schedule the call and afterwards pull back the recording, transcript, and an AI-generated summary — so the conversation becomes something you can actually reference, not a memory someone half-remembers two days later.

### Connecting Zoom

1. In Chat, open
2. from the sidebar
3. Find the **Zoom** card and click **Connect Zoom**
4. A Zoom sign-in tab opens — sign in with the Zoom account you want SIA to use and approve the permissions listed
5. You're redirected back to Chat and the card now reads **Connected**

### What you can do once connected

Once Zoom is connected, SIA can handle both ends of an interview — setting it up and making sense of it afterwards:

* **Schedule an interview** — SIA creates the Zoom meeting and gives you a join link to share with the candidate, all from chat without opening Zoom separately
* **Pull back the recording, transcript, and summary** — instead of re-watching an hour of video to find one answer, SIA retrieves the recording along with a transcript and an AI-written summary of what was discussed
* **Cross-reference what was actually said** — SIA can compare what a candidate said in the interview against their resume and match score, so you can see whether their answers line up with what's on paper

### Try it in chat

{% prompt description="Schedule Interview" icon="users-line" openInAIProviders="false" %}

```markdown
Schedule a 45-minute Zoom interview with [candidate_name] tomorrow at 4pm
```

{% endprompt %}

{% prompt description="Analyze Meeting Recording" icon="users-line" openInAIProviders="false" %}

```markdown
Get the recording for thet Zoom Interview and compare it to their report card
```

{% endprompt %}

### A few things to note

* **SIA can only pull recordings that already exist in your Zoom account.** It doesn't record meetings on your behalf — if recording wasn't turned on before the call started, there's nothing for SIA to retrieve afterwards. Make sure recording is enabled in Zoom before the interview begins if you want to pull it back later.

### Disconnecting Zoom

1. Go to [**Connectors**](https://sia.senseloaf.ai/settings/connectors) in the sidebar
2. On the Zoom card, click **Disconnect**

This immediately revokes SIA's access to schedule meetings or retrieve anything from your Zoom account until it's reconnected.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.senseloaf.ai/sia-connectors/sia-for-zoom.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
